DISCOVER A BRAND NEW WAY TO Low-Maintenance Living IN CALIFORNIA WITHOUT THE ANXIETY OF Decluttering & Sorting
In 2005, I started my journey as a real estate agent, helping people buy and sell homes. Over time, I expanded my expertise to include home loans, making the process even smoother for my clients. By 2007, I became an asset manager for US Bank, handling real estate on a larger scale. In 2010, I took a big step forward—I became a broker and opened my own agency, carefully selecting 20 of the best agents in the area. My career was thriving, and I was proud of the work I was doing.
Then, in 2013, everything changed. I was diagnosed with chronic kidney
disease, and my health had to become my top priority. I stepped away from real estate, uncertain of what the future held. The journey was long and difficult, but I never gave up. After years of treatment, I
received a life-saving kidney transplant on October 31, 2022. Recovery wasn’t easy, but I stayed focused, determined to rebuild my life.
As I healed, I realized something important: I missed helping people
find the right home. I missed the excitement of seeing families start
new chapters in their lives. In November 2023, I made the decision to return to real estate—not just as a job, but as a mission. My journey taught me resilience, patience, and the importance of having the right support during life’s biggest changes.
Now, I bring that same strength and dedication to my clients, especially
retired professionals who are downsizing. I understand that leaving a longtime home is more than just a financial decision—it’s an emotional journey. My goal is to make that transition as smooth and stress-free as possible, guiding you every step of the way. With my years of experience, I know how to help you sell your home for the best price,
find a low-maintenance home that fits your new lifestyle, and move
forward with confidence.
Life is full of changes, and the right help can make all the difference.
Whether you’re looking for a fresh start, a simpler home, or a community that better fits your lifestyle, I’m here to make the process easy and stress-free.

"My experience with John McKay came several years ago, when he was recommended by a friend. He helped us buy and sell our home. He was very patient and calm as we searched for our first perfect home. So when we were looking to buy a house again, we called John. His hard work and knowledge of the real estate market really helped in negotiations of our new home. He is a true professional and a genuinely nice guy. The best part is that we have considered John as our family friend."
